This year marks our 20th anniversary at Access. It's
been an amazing journey and we've had some great moments, most of
which I've had the opportunity to share - first as a dealer and
latterly as the MD of Access before the management buyout (MBO) in
March.
My relationship with Access started not long after I set up
Armstrong Consultants in 1993 with three university friends - Ket
Chauhan, Mike Audis and Rob Parkinson, who today all sit on the
board at Access. We soon became a dealer and enjoyed a very close
working relationship with Access. It's hard to believe that all of
this started from my parents' dining room table!
During that time we've seen many positive changes as Access has
grown both organically and through acquisition. At every stage of
growth we've aimed to continue our innovative, entrepreneurial
spirit and we encourage this approach across the business. The
importance of innovation can't be underestimated - and it's
embedded deep within the company. It's certainly played an
important part in building a strong brand and software portfolio as
we continue to improve and develop new products and services.
But for us, innovation is also about the people - the great
ideas that shape and improve processes and working practices both
within Access and with our customers. For this reason, I believe
that innovation will play an important part in our future success -
at every level throughout our business.
My passion for delivering solutions that make a real difference
to business grows year-on-year. Along with my team, we live and
breathe the software and consultancy that we provide and how this
can help businesses work better and faster. We understand that the
ability to operate efficiently and continually improve business
processes is key to maintaining that competitive edge. It's our aim
to continue to help companies achieve this.
