HFT look for time and efficiency savings with Access SelectHR & SelectPay
Colchester, UK - 13 February 2012 - HFT, the charity that help
people with learning disabilities and their families to live the
life they want to live, is looking to reduce manual processes and
increase efficiency with the introduction of a new HR and payroll
solution from
Access.
HFT are replacing their existing bespoke system with Access'
SelectHR & SelectPay. David Winks, BPR projects
co-ordinator at HFT, said "We already use Access Dimensions &
FocalPoint so were familiar with Access' products, but the product
demonstrations really impressed us. We liked the look and feel, the
workflow and the self-service element, and it was a good price
point for us too."
With people on varying contracts and over 2000 staff, even the
simplest processes, such as booking holidays, was a long manual
process involving paperwork, and lots of duplication of effort and
rekeying of information. "We've been going through an overall
business process review taking into account the needs of the
organisation going forward and the future of the care industry,"
continued David. "Our new system will reduce the administration
burden on our HR and payroll departments by automating holiday
requests and approvals. All staff will be able to request absence
online via self-service, and we're also looking at moving payslips
online too."
HFT will also benefit from improved management reporting and
time-savings in generating reports. "Our information is currently
held on numerous spreadsheets and databases, with no single
database members of our HR team can spend up to half a day
generating management reports, the new solution will reduce this
significantly and we'll be generating the same reports with the
click of a mouse," concluded David.
SelectHR will be going live in June, with SelectPay to follow in
the next financial year. The HR & payroll elements of the
system will integrate with HFT's existing
Access Dimensions & FocalPoint solution as well as care
specialists HET's time and attendance software.
