Team Telecom Group chooses Access to aid efficiency

Global telecommunications group Team Telecom Group (TTG) have chosen Access to provide its new manufacturing, professional services and service management solution. The Derby based telecoms solutions provider went to market for a new system to increase efficiency across their various global companies.

"With five different companies pieced together our existing IT infrastructure was disjointed, inefficient, with reports and KPI's being very time consuming," said Sonya Wright, continuous improvements manager at TTG. With the implementation of Access Supply Chain & FocalPoint, and Access Service Manager, TTG have a single joined up solution across multiple sites handling all their projects, accounts, procurement and stock management.

Sonya continued, "Of all the solutions that we looked at Access offered the best fit with our business; the solution is flexible, user friendly and customisable to our needs. The time sheeting and reporting tools that were offered were a contributing factor in our decision to buy, as was stock management and the cost of the system."

The new solution will allow TTG to automate many of their manual processes, centralise their information and benefit from improved reporting. "Our stock management is currently spread across numerous different spreadsheets. Having all the information on one database will greatly increase efficiency across the whole organisation. Some staff spend all day every day compiling reports; with the new software the time it takes will be greatly reduced," said Sonya.

Access Service Manager will be used at the company's 80-strong, 24 hour network operations centre for its repair, asset, and maintenance management contracts, as well as resource planning. "When we reviewed our IT strategy we wanted to put in place provisioning for disaster recovery, especially for our 24 hour network operations centre. Access gave us the best technology to serve our customers," continued Sonya.
